The Fotheringay Centre
The former Congregational Church dates from 1903. Designed by Steele & Balfour in Gothic mid-pointed style, built in red sandstone and without a tower.
The Fotheringay Centre is the result of a unique partnership between Hutchesons' Grammar School and the Pollokshields United Reformed Church. Created from the extensive restoration of a beautiful turn-of-the-century church, the Centre now houses a large auditorium, lecture theatre, seminar room and computer suite as well as providing high-tech music and ICT facilities for the School. Each space is flexible in layout providing maximum opportunity for a wide variety of purposes including concerts, recitals, banquets, weddings, conferences, seminars, lectures, exhibitions, and workshops.
